Tandoori Express

Minus the server not knowing what’s in his own food, this place was great. We had amazing authentic food. The goat vindaloo was super soft and tender. The basmati rice was absolutely delicious. The lamb was really good, tiny portion though for the price. The butter naan was our favorite. We tried the samosa too, the breading was good, but the feeling was dry and pasty. Everything else was great. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the food at Tandoori Express! The biryani was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The veg korma was creamy, rich, and full of taste. Portion sizes were generous and everything tasted fresh. Great value and quick service — definitely coming back!

Legit Indian food and very tasty. Price was a tad bit higher than what we usually pay in Sac but this is Oakhurst so totally expected. Food is fresh and cooked just right. Tandoori chicken didn’t look all that impressive at first but looks was deceiving. It had the perfect charred taste and the lemon squeezed on top made it so delish. All curry and sag amounts were generous. Lastly, the employees were super friendly and equally attentive.

I am so glad we decided to come eat dinner after a hike at Yosemite, and it was so tasty. We had the chicken butter masala, the potato cauliflower and peas aloo. ghobi, samosas, the nan and the mango lassi was delish. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and the service was great where staff came to check on us and asked if we needed something. Excellent choice.

The experience from the entry to exit was excellent! The attention to customer service, superb. The food was beyond description. It was authentic, delicious and not too spicy (we ordered everything mild). The portion was just right for our group of 9 people and every bite was tasteful and well flavored.We ordered butter chicken, lamb curry, saag paneer, baingan masala, aloo gobhi, tandoori chicken, and samosa special. We ate everything. It was so good We even received a complimentary dessert! What a gem this restaurant is. I would definitely stop again next time we visit Yosemite

We ordered1. today's special - "XXXX Vada XXXX" - some deep friend potato covered in chickpea powder, was amazed by the taste of it!2. Chicken rogan curry could've been more ROGAN, was on the watery side3. Chicken kurma was our favourite dish4. Lamb Briyani was herby but they were generous with their spice5. Chai was mehhh6. Garlic Naan was fluffy with slight garlic taste! Love itOne of their staff was pretty funny and he was helpful and friendly!

It was close to closing and we were greeted by friendly staff and welcomed. The food was delicious, my husband and I have a love for Indian food and know great dishes when we’ve had them! This restaurant is authentic, food is fantastic and staff is super friendly. Five stars from me!

Really enjoyed our dinner here this evening. The Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken curry was excellent - really fragrant with lots of cardamom, rich sauce and not overpowered by spice. The Rasmali dessert was really nice too. The service was friendly and efficient and some of the warmest we’ve had in California. Slightly hidden at the back of a row of retail stores, but look past the decor and trust in the food!
